So, I mentioned in the last post that we have a variety of fun and exciting fundraising opportunities in the works...and we have the first one on the calendar!  If you are a local friend, you probably received an invite to my Norwex launch party via Facebook.  Norwex is a company that has created toxin-free cleaning alternatives for your home.  From self-purifying microfiber cloths to reusable silicone lids, even kids' sized cleaning materials (so we can capitalize on that adorable stage when kids LOVE to dust and vacuum).   If you are local and you did not receive an invite, I promise it was not on purpose.  I was on vacation at the beach all last week and only had my iPhone for Facebook...I never quite trust the mobile version to show me my entire friends list.
You can check out more about Norwex at www.norwex.biz.  My event is on Tuesday, August 25th at my house.  If you are local and you would like an invite, let me know!  If you are not local and you would like to place an order, I will send you the information.  Everything I make from this party will go into our adoption fund.  Exciting!
Thanks for the prayers!

Our Story Begins (again)
Greetings!  We have created this page as a way of sharing our adoption journey with those who want to follow our adventure.  Anyone who knows us well knows that adoption has already been a long road for our family, and we are technically only beginning!  Here is a little bit of our story.
Ben and I knew very early in our marriage that we wanted to adopt. In fact, my grandmother reminds me that I used to tell her that if I didn't have any kids by the time I turned 30, I was going to adopt, with or without a husband. Fortunately, God did bring me a wonderful husband, and together we have seen our hearts fall more and more in love with the idea of adoption. Shortly after our oldest son Levi was born in 2007, we began the process of domestic adoption through a wonderful agency in Texas. A year into the process, we relocated to North Carolina, and SURPRISE!! God blessed us with our 2nd son Fisher. As soon as I found out I was pregnant with Fisher, we had to put our adoption on hold. Shortly after his first birthday, we started over with our agency in Texas. No sooner had we been 're-approved' to adopt, we relocated to Maryland and SURPRISE!! God blessed us with our 3rd son Judah! Second verse, same as the first...we put our adoption on hold. Judah is now approaching his 2nd birthday, and here we are (and this time, there should not be anymore surprise sons). We have started our process with a local agency, and we are eager to see it through to completion.
We want to invite you along with us as we walk down this road over the next year or so. Adoption is wonderfully beautiful and exciting, but it is also a very involved and emotional process. Right now we are feeling fresh and ready to face the world, but I'm sure there will be plenty of times that we rely heavily on the prayers of our friends and family to get through to the next step. Will you please pray for our family? It would mean the world to us.
We will use this page to communicate specific prayer needs and updates, as well as letting you know about fund-raising events we will be hosting. (Think worship events, new CDs, fun jewelry/accessory trunk shows, etc. It's going to be so fun!)
Please feel free to share this site with anyone you think would like to follow along.
Blessings from our family to yours!
